Chandigarh: The Supreme court (SC) has directed Punjab and Haryana High Court Disputes relating to floor-wise sale of properties in the city should be settled within two weeks at the earliest. The Supreme Court also asked the UT administration to submit the survey report of the properties before the High Court within a week.
The Supreme Court passed these directions on Monday and a copy of the same was made available on Tuesday. Earlier, the apex court had stayed the High Court’s directions relating to the property office survey of properties where the transfer of shares has taken place.
The SC order said, “We are informed that the survey has been completed and the authorities are to submit a report on the basis of the survey to the High Court. The officers are directed to submit a report on the survey which has been completed within a week from today.
The High Court can proceed with the hearing after taking into account the report and hearing the parties. The High Court is requested to dispose of the dispute in written petition at the earliest within a period of two weeks from today.
Meanwhile, this matter also came up for hearing in the High Court on Tuesday. The hearing was adjourned to September 16 as a copy of the Supreme Court order was not available.
The High Court had on July 27 directed the administration to conduct a sample survey of outside family members on the basis of 50 per cent, 30 per cent and 20 per cent of property office residential properties sold between 2016 and December 31, 2019 in the city. . original owner or shareholder.
