Deep-Fried Burger Buns? This “desi burger” has left Twitter divided

many of us have our favorites Street food Stalls whose snacks provide a comfort that restaurant food can never match. Let’s face it: most of these stalls use some ingredients and techniques that aren’t quite right for health – but we frequent them anyway because taste conquers all. Also, eating spicy fried food at the packed “Khau Gali” is an experience in itself. even when it comes licking, we would prefer to go to a small roadside shop than a fancy restaurant to enjoy it. Furthermore, street food stalls have evolved with the times – apart from Indian cuisine, they also offer their own creative take on “Western” cuisine. Pizza and burgers.

Recently, a fitness influencer (@chiragbarjatyaa) on Twitter shared a video of a roadside vendor claiming to be selling “desi burgers”. He captioned it “Dekh kar hi aarteris chok ho gayi” (“My arteries have choked just seeing this”). His reaction was so intense because the chef was deep-frying the burger bun before cutting it and adding the inner layers. This naturally seemed unusual to him. Watch the full video here:

Deep frying the bun means that the bread will absorb unhealthy amounts of oil. Some would argue that this method is unnecessary Bread Can be heated in other ways. While some Twitter users were of the opinion, others claimed that it was part of the charm of such street food. Here are some of their responses:
“This is a common way of making burgers on the streets of Delhi and it tastes better than McDonald’s etc.”
“It’s for the young at heart, better stick to your salads.”
“At least no mayonnaise, no overdose of cheese and those weird sauces…”
