Despite the loss to Punjab Kings (PBKS), Chennai Super Kings (CSK) player Deepak Chahar ended the day with great joy proposing to his girlfriend after the game and she said yes. After CSK’s defeat in Match 53 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season, Chahar went to the stands and surprised his girlfriend, who was dressed in black. Both were congratulated by the people sitting next to them including MS Dhoni’s wife Sakshi. Chahar posted a video of the proposal on Instagram and captioned it as “special moment”.

Till the resolution, it was a very uneven day for Chahar as CSK lost by six wickets vs Punjab. Although the defeat didn’t really matter for Chennai as they had already qualified for the playoffs, India would be looking to make a comeback in the international knockout stages.
The 29-year-old could only take one wicket and conceded 48 runs in four overs as Punjab posted 139 for four in 13 overs, crossing the 134-run target set by CSK with seven overs to spare.

PBKS captain KL Rahul was in excellent form, playing an unbeaten knock of 98 runs off 42 balls.
Initially, CSK scored 134 for six in 20 overs, with Faf du Plessis scoring 76 runs in 55 balls. Punjab bowlers Chris Jordan and Arshdeep Singh were in good form, taking two wickets each.
