Deepika Padukone was recently seen in YRF’s Pathan while Ranveer Singh made his Bollywood debut with YRF’s Band Baaja Baaraat.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh visited Aditya Chopra’s residence in Mumbai on Thursday afternoon to express their condolences following the demise of the filmmaker’s mother Pamela Chopra. As soon as they reached Aditya’s house, Deepika and Ranveer were caught on camera by the paparazzi. While Ranveer wore a white shirt and paired it with black trousers, Deepika wore a beige outfit.
Both Deepika and Ranveer have worked in several films of Yash Raj Films. Recently shared the screen with Deepika Shahrukh Khan and John Abraham for YRF’s Pathan. On the other hand, Ranveer Singh has Bollywood Started in 2010 with YRF’s Band Baaja Baaraat, in which he also acted Anushka Sharma in the lead.
Before Deepika and Ranveer, others including Shah Rukh Khan, his son Aryan Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal and Karan Johar were also seen arriving at Aditya Chopra’s residence.
Yash Chopra’s wife Pamela Chopra passed away on Thursday, April 20 in Mumbai. She was 74 years old. The family issued a statement confirming the news of his death and revealed that the last rites took place at 11 am.
“With a heavy heart, the Chopra family wishes to inform that Pamela Chopra, 74, passed away this morning. Her funeral took place today at 11 a.m. in Mumbai. We are grateful for your prayers and the family is at this moment of deep sadness and reflection.” I would like to request privacy,” the statement read.
According to a report in Indian Express, Pamela Chopra was hospitalized for 15 days for pneumonia. “She died today. She was on ventilator for 15 days at Lilavati Hospital. He had pneumonia,” Dr Prahlad Prabhudesai told the publication.
