The Delhi government has increased the fares of autos and taxis for the people of Delhi. This will have a live impact on the pockets of auto and taxi users. The new hires have come into force with effect from immigrants. Sensing the notification, the meter of the auto will be down to Rs 30 instead of Rs 25 after the first kilometer and thereafter the fare will be Rs 11 instead of Rs 9.5 per km.
After the minimum of Rs 40, passengers will now be given Rs 17 per kilometer for non-AC taxis. Earlier this fee was Rs 14 per kilometer. While AC taxi fare has been increased from Rs 16 per km to Rs 20 per km.
In view of the ever-increasing prices of CNG, the fare was changed by the Delhi Government on the request of the auto and taxi drivers on the report of the Rating Committee for Higher Revision.
