Delhi Government has started Delhi Teachers University (DTU) to provide courses to the students to become teachers. “I am very happy to inaugurate the ‘Delhi Teachers University’. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Manish Sisodia said that the government aims to inspire the students of today to become the teachers of tomorrow.
Sisodia said that the university will offer a new age integrated teacher education program after class 12th. Sisodia said that it will also lay emphasis on fundamental and applied research in education by collaborating with national and international organizations.
In addition to offering B.Ed, M.Ed, PhD, and certificate programs, the university will provide training courses for teachers who are in service and who have graduated and wish to become skilled. The University will also have national and international collaborations for exchange of ideas and practices, along with partnerships with schools to deliver hands-on experience.
