Delhi government will curb Kovid if there is a decline in cases in 2-3 days: Satyendar Jain

Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said that the COVID-19 restrictions in the national capital will be lifted if there is a decline in cases in the next few days.

Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said on Wednesday that the government will lift the COVID-19 restrictions if the number of cases declines in the next two or three days.

Satyendar Jain said, “If the cases of Kovid come down in two-three days then the restrictions will be lifted.” On Wednesday, that city is likely to see an increase of around 25,000 cases.

Satyendar Jain also said that the cases of Kovid-19 coronavirus in the national capital have stabilized and the infection is likely to subside soon.

Satyendar Jain said, “The Covid positivity rate cannot determine whether the cases have peaked or not… the hospitalization rate has stabilized and the cases have come down. Still many beds are vacant.”

Comparing the scenario with Mumbai, Satyendar Jain said that the cases have started declining there and the same situation is likely to happen here as well.

on Tuesday, Delhi records 21,259 Kovid-19 cases, highest number of infections in a day since May 1, The city also recorded 23 Covid-19 fatalities, the highest since June 16, and the positivity rate rose to 25.65 per cent.

With increasing infection day by day, Govt directs closure of all private offices in Delhi, except in the exempted categories.

Earlier in an order issued by Delhi Disaster Management Authority Restaurants and bars closed in the city, However, restaurants have been allowed to serve home delivery and take orders.

Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that his government was forced to impose restrictions. But complete lockdown will not be implemented.
