CBI raids 31 places including the residence of the deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia last month and also named him on charges of irregularities in the Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22.

The LG had also sought a report from the Chief Secretary on the “extreme delay of 2.5 years” in action on the CVC’s report on irregularities in construction of classrooms in Delhi government schools.

The AAP, on the other hand, is accusing Mr Saxena of a “scam of 1,400 crore”, which was claimed by party legislators during his tenure as chairman of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission in 2016. AAP MLAs also demanded a CBI inquiry into the matter.
