Delhi minister Jain admitted to Loknayak hospital, condition stable

Delhi Minister Satyendar JainOne who is currently in judicial custody allegedly money laundering caseAccording to AAP sources, he was admitted to Lok Nayak Hospital on June 20.

An AAP leader said that he was admitted to the hospital after he complained of lack of oxygen. His condition was stable till Monday night.

Mr. Jain was arrested Enforcement Directorate (ED) under sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) on 30 May. He was in ED custody till June 13, after which he was remanded to judicial custody.

The agency is probing the alleged hawala deal against Mr. Jain, a minister without portfolio in the Delhi government.

Last week, a special court had refused bail to Mr Jain, observing that he is not a flight risk, the possibility of influencing witnesses or tampering with evidence cannot be ruled out at this stage.
