Three people, including a Nigerian national, have been arrested in two separate incidents here and narcotics worth about Rs 21 crore have been recovered from them, officials said on Saturday.

New Delhi: Three people, including a Nigerian national, have been arrested in two separate incidents here and intoxicants worth about Rs 21 crore have been recovered from them. Officials gave this information on Saturday.
The accused have been identified as Ankush, a resident of Timarpur. Anthony, a native of Nigeria; and Sanjay, a resident of Uttam Nagar, he said.
In the first incident, on May 25, Ankush was informed about drug trafficking. After this, he was arrested by laying a trap near the main Keshav Nagar. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) KPS Malhotra said that a total of 505 grams of good quality heroin was seized from him.
During interrogation, Ankush revealed that his father was involved in the sale of illicit liquor. Police said his mother was also involved in drug trafficking earlier.
He said that he used to purchase drugs from Sultanpuri.
In another campaign, on May 27, on the basis of secret information, a trap was laid near the power house Dabri Mahavir Enclave. Malhotra said the Nigerian national and Sanjay were arrested from the spot.
Three kg heroin has been recovered from their possession. Anthony was the mastermind of the syndicate. The DCP said he used to procure banned material from his associates, who also came from African countries.
