Police sources said that Musewala’s death was planned inside Tihar Jail by Bishnoi along with several of his associates. Canadian gangster Goldie Brar claimed responsibility for the singer’s murder in a Facebook post on Sunday.

Bishnoi sought security

Bishnoi on Tuesday moved the Delhi High Court seeking a direction to the Punjab Police to ensure his security after handing over his custody in the murder case of singer Sidhu Musewala.

The High Court is scheduled to hear Mr Bishnoi’s plea on Wednesday.

Bishnoi, in his plea filed through advocate Vishal Chopra, said that he “apprehension of a fake encounter by the Punjab Police due to political gains between two political parties due to the recent unfortunate murder of famous singer Sidhu Musewala on May 29”.

The petition said that on the evening of May 29, a press conference was called by the Punjab Police in which Bishnoi was alleged to be involved in the murder of Musewala.

Bishnoi had sought directions to the Delhi Police and Tihar Jail Authority to ensure necessary security arrangements for them.

His plea had also sought that whenever a production warrant was issued against him by any court, the investigating officer be directed to bring him in handcuffs as he feared that the police at the court or at any other place would give him a fake. Can kill in an encounter. ,

Bishnoi is currently in judicial custody and is facing trial under the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) for running an inter-state crime syndicate.

Conspiracy hatched from Tihar Jail

Police sources had said that Bishnoi along with his associates Kala Jathedi and Kala Rana hatched a plan from jail number 8, where they spoke to Brar, who further communicated outside the jail with other gang members.
