Delhi: Skywalk connecting New Delhi Railway and Metro stations opens. see photos

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRCThe skywalk connecting Ajmeri Gate of New Delhi Railway Station and adjoining New Delhi Metro Station was opened for public use on Saturday.

The dedicated skywalk has been constructed by DMRC in association with Northern Railway Zone of Indian Railways.

“The dedicated skywalk, built by DMRC in association with Northern Railway, will be opened for passenger use from 10 am onwards towards Ajmeri Gate and to provide seamless connectivity between adjacent New Delhi Metro stations on Yellow Line and Airport Express Line. Tomorrow,” Delhi Metro said in a statement.

The skywalk is 242 meters long.

This newly constructed skywalk is an extension of the Foot Over Bridge (FOB) inside the railway station and connects the New Delhi Metro station towards Ajmeri Gate as well as the multi-level parking at Bhavabhuti Marg through multiple entry and exit points. Said it.

The skywalk is 242 meters long.

This dedicated skywalk will be of great benefit to provide seamless connectivity between New Delhi Railway Station’s one of the busiest hubs and Metro stations of New Delhi on Yellow Line and Airport Express Line.

Apart from providing seamless connectivity, the Skywalk will also help in streamlining the traffic flow towards Ajmeri Gate of the Railway Station.

Escalators as well as CCTV surveillance cameras etc. have been provided in the skywalk.
