Delhi: Slight increase in new COVID-19 cases; 260 recoveries in 24 hours

National capital Delhi has recorded 212 fresh covid-19 case and 260 recoveries in the last 24 hours. While the active cases in the country are 937, the case positivity rate has come down to 0.56 per cent. Delhi had reported 208 new Kovid-19 cases on Wednesday.

Health department data shows that in Delhi, health officials conducted 37,960 tests in the last 24 hours, with 260 people being discharged after making full recovery.

The cumulative COVID positive cases in Delhi is 1862467, while the cumulative positivity rate is 5.6 percent. The number of people who have been cured or discharged has risen to 1835390, and the total deaths due to Covid has risen to 26,140.

India records 4,184 new Covid-19 cases

Recording a steady decline in the number of COVID-19 cases in the country, India on Thursday reported 4,184 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total COVID-19 cases to 42.98 million, as per the updated Union Health Ministry data. .

Additionally, with 104 cases reported in the last 24 hours, there has been a further decline in the number of Covid-19 deaths. Health ministry data showed that the death toll in the country rose to 515,459.

The ministry said active cases comprise 0.10 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has further improved.
