Devendra Fadnavis’s “underworld link proof” against Maharashtra minister

Mumbai:

Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who had promised to “expose” state minister Nawab Malik after Diwali, today fulfilled his promise.

Reiterating his earlier allegation that Malik has links to the underworld, the BJP leader, while addressing a press conference, presented what he called “proof” of the connection.

“I had said that I will reveal something after Diwali. It took some time to get the papers. I am not telling the script of Salim Javed… and it is not a picture of gap,” the BJP leader said.

Mr. Fadnavis alleges that Nawab Malik had struck a property deal with an underworld man who was convicted in the 1993 Mumbai blasts.

“The 2.80 acre plot in Kurla is called Goawala Compound on LBS Road. The registry of this plot is with Solidus Investments Pvt Ltd. The company belongs to the family of Nawab Malik. He was also in the company but after he became a minister, he Resigned. This plot was bought from underworld people for Rs 30 lakh. Only Rs 20 lakh was paid,” alleged Mr. Fadnavis.

He said, “My question is, you were a minister when this deal happened. Did you not know who Salim Patel is? Why did you buy land from the culprits? And why did he buy a three-acre plot on LBS Road for Rs 30 lakh. sold.” Asked.

Salim Patel is an aide of gangster Dawood Ibrahim and was the driver of Haseena Parkar (Dawood’s sister). After Dawood’s escape, Haseena Parkar had acquired the properties through Salim Patel.

“It is a direct link to the underworld. Those who brought RDX, who hatched the conspiracy to carry out the blasts, are you doing business with them? I will send all this to the competent authorities and will also send it to Sharad Pawar so that he knows his minister has What have you done?” said Mr. Fadnavis.
