In Malayalam, ‘Elam Sheriyakum’ translates as ‘all will be well’. Director Jibu Jacob is pleased with how appropriate the title of his new film is in the post-pandemic world.

The film starring Asif Ali and Rajeesha Vijayan will hit the big screens on Friday (November 19). “I was waiting for the theaters to reopen. But I was worried whether this decision would cause financial loss to my producers. now i hope alum sheriyakum, Referring to the positive mood in the industry after the theaters reopen, says Jibu.

He is happy that the Dulquer Salmaan-starrer ugly has brought the audience back to the theatres. “Ours is not a star-driven film. But the whole team has confidence ugly Getting such an overwhelming response. We hope the mood prevails when our film releases,” he says.

Even though the trailer of his film hints at a political drama, Jibu insists that “it is a family entertainer, with politics taking place in the background.”

family Matters

“The story is about the personal lives of politicians, the happenings in their families and how it affects their political career and image. Activists of both right-wing and left-wing parties have been portrayed in the state,” says Jibu, Director Jibu Vellimonga, Munthirivallikal Thalirakkumbol And Aaradhyatri:,

Asif plays the role of Com Vineet, the leader of a party’s youth wing. He marries Ansi (Rajisha), the daughter of KV Chacko (Siddiqui), a prominent leader of the rival party, against her will. “Vineet and Ancy are like chalk and cheese. Ansie, who is outspoken and stubborn, dominates Vineet, who is always short of confidence. Their temper eventually creates problems in their relationship. Ansie gets irritated when Vineet gets more time than her for activities related to his party. Eventually, a pregnant Ansi is torn between the love of her father and her husband,” says Jibu. He adds that all the characters have their own political point of view, be it Ansi or Asif’s parents, which ultimately sets the stage for many conflicts.
