Disha app has seen 1.25 lakh downloads in Kakinada district. In one day

Roads and Buildings Minister Dadisetty Ramalingeswara Rao has appealed to women to download the Disha app on their mobile phones and seek police help in case of emergency.

Participating in the Disha App special drive organized in Kakinada district on Wednesday, he lauded the SP M. Rabindranath Babu and his team of officers who successfully helped in securing 1.25 lakh registrations for the app in a day.

Shri Rabindranath Babu said that Disha App will help the woman to get police assistance during emergency situations.

The SP along with Kakinada MP Vanga Geeta, Prathipadu MLA Parvatneni Purnachandra Prasad and Collector Krutika Shukla participated in the special drive in Annavaram.

West Godavari Superintendent of Police U. Ravi Prakash participated in the special campaign on Wednesday.

The SP along with other police officials inquired about the operation at Tadepalligudem, Bhimavaram, Narasapuram, Palakol and other places.

Addressing the students, Mr. Ravi Prakash said that the police had rescued more than 900 callers in the state who alerted the police in case of emergency. Women police visited educational institutions, bus stations and other public places and participated in the campaign.
