Disney Plus Hotstar acquires Yodha’s digital rights at a hefty cost

The Warrior, directed by Lingu Swamy, was released worldwide on July 14. The Ram Pothineni-starrer has been one of the most awaited films. The film is getting good response at the box office and is getting positive reviews from the audience as well as the critics. The makers have sold their digital rights to the popular OTT giant, Disney Plus Hotstar.

The bilingual film will be available on digital platforms 50 days after its release in theatres. Star Ma has acquired the satellite rights of the film. It is being told that the digital platform bought the rights for 35 crores and satellite rights were given for 16 crores.

Talking about the film, Ram Pothineni portrays Satya, an IPS officer, and he looks stunning as a cop and has given his biggest performance till date. Nadia plays Satya’s mother in the film. Kriti Shetty has done well as Mahalakshmi, a radio jockey in the film.

The film’s ruthless antagonist is played by Adi Pinisetti, who has built his reputation as a bankable actor in the Tamil and Telugu film industries.

The Warrior also stars Akshara Gowda, Bharathiraja, Chirag Jani, Radin Kingsley, Brahmaji, Jayaprakash, Dibya Shripad, Naga Mahesh, Ramachandran Durairaj and Master Raghavan in pivotal roles.

On the management front, the film was shot by cinematographer Sujit Vasudev and edited by Naveen Nooli. The cop-action drama has been composed by Devi Sri Prasad. It is bankrolled by Srinivas Chitturi under the banner of Srinivas Silver Screen.

Meanwhile, Ram is currently working with Boyapati Srinu for his yet-to-be-titled film. In a recent interview, he also revealed that he has no plans to enter Bollywood.
