Diwali 2022: You Must Try Diwali Recipe Based on Bhang

What better way to enjoy Diwali than by cooking something special and delicious for your family members? Make delicious and nutritious Diwali sweets with bhang to fill your home with a lovely aroma during this contest of lights.

Santosh Tamang, Head Chef, The Hemp Factory, shares some delicious and healthy recipes for Diwali sweets:

Ganja Besan Laddu

material:

1 cup gram flour/gram flour

a quarter cup of ghee

half cup powdered sugar

1 tsp hemp hearts

tsp cardamom powder

1 tsp hemp powder

10 almonds to garnish

process:

Dry roast the gram flour on a medium flame for about 10-15 minutes, while stirring. It doesn’t have to be a crude style.

Add ghee and mix well.

Cook the gram flour for about 8-10 minutes till the fat separates and turn off the gas.

Add Chinese cardamom powder and cannabis powder. Mix well so that no lumps remain. Let the mixture cool completely. Once the combination has cooled, add the hemp hearts.

Start making laddus by applying ghee on the palms. Make easy and round laddus. Garnish with almonds.

Serve in a hermetically sealed container or retailer.

material:

1 quarter cup all purpose flour (175 grams)

2 tbsp positive rava (semolina) 25 grams

1 tbsp hemp flour

cup powdered sugar (80 grams)

cup ghee (115 grams)

half teaspoon salt

tsp cardamom powder

2 tbsp chopped pistachios or dry fruits of your choice

1 tbsp Hemp Hearts

process:

Sift flour in a bowl. Keep it separate.

Whisk the ghee and sugar in a bowl with a spoon or until creamy, soft and pale yellow.

Add refined flour, hemp flour, semolina, salt and cardamom powder to the ghee-sugar mixture.

Mix everything together using a spatula, then use your palms to move the dough together. Do not knead the dough.

If the dough looks dry, then add a small spoon of ghee to it and keep stirring it slowly till the dough comes together.

Keep the dough in the fridge and keep it for less than half an hour.

Mixing Ghee and Flour in Nankhatai Dough

Pinch off a lime-sized portion of the dough. Roll it between your palms into a smooth circular shape. Flatten them hard.

Place it on a baking tray covered with parchment paper.

Repeat with remaining cookie dough.

Space them 1 inch apart as they can widen when baked.

Using a knife, make a criss-cross sample within the center. You can also do a little indentation within the heart instead of criss-cross sampling.

Refrigerate once more for another quarter hour.

Preheat your oven to 190°C.

Bake in preheated oven for 15 to 16 minutes. It may take you more or less time. Keep an eye out after 13 minutes.

Sprinkle some chopped pistachios and rose petals and hemp hearts

Note: Cookies may be smooth in the middle but will crumble as they cool.

Double Chocolate Chip Hemp Heart Cookies

material:

cup liquid coconut oil

cup almond, soy or rice milk

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup coconut or brown sugar

1 cup hemp seeds, divided

1 cup chocolate chips (semi candy or vegan)

2 cups gluten-free or all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp baking powder

teaspoon kosher salt

process:

Preheat oven to 350 level.

Place the coconut oil, almond milk, vanilla, coconut sugar, 3/4 cup hemp seeds and 1/2 cup chocolate chips in a blender and puree for 30 seconds or until little sticks remain, although the combination is creamy.

In a separate large bowl, whisk the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

Pour the chocolate mixture into the flour mixture and mix until the ingredients are completely combined. Stir within remaining chocolate chips and hemp seeds.

Using a small ice cream scoop or 2 Tbsp measure, place cookies on a silpat or parchment-covered baking sheet. Use the heel of your hand to press down on the cookies and type in circles.

Bake cookies for 11 minutes for softer cookies and 13-14 minutes for crisper cookies.
