Diwali Picks: Buy midcap, smallcap stocks as suggested by Prabhudas Lilladher

Samvat 2078 will go down in history as one of the most volatile years, where excitement around tech stocks and the IPO boom was followed by the Russia-Ukraine war, multi-decade high global inflation and the sharpest interest rate hikes in recent times.

“Amidst this hazy global scenario, India is today a pearl in the sea with benefits from food security, domestic demand driven economy, PLI scheme in manufacturing and defence, robust banking system with decade low NPAs, strong infra capex and rising investments. Large cap stock picks

Apollo Hospitals Enterprise with Target Price 5,000, remains its top choice in the healthcare sector; Avenue Supermart (TP: 5,121) continues to be its top choice for the transition from the unorganized to organized market in food and grocery; Bharti Airtel (TP: 1,032), ICICI Bank (TP: 950) and Mahindra & Mahindra or M&M (TP: 1,500) is its preferred choice in the auto sector.

Ashok Leyland with target price 200 as the brokerage believes that the company will continue to recover its lost share on back model launches and revival in bus segment; Chambal Fertilizers and Chemicals (TP: 480) and Federal Bank (TP: 165).

Jubilant Ingravia with target price 860, VIP Industries (TP: 1,020) and Westlife Development (TP: 847).
