DJ stabbed to death on his way home, motive unknown. Nagpur News – Times of India

Nagpur: A DJ Kalpesh Bawankule (28) was repeatedly stabbed to death near a petrol pump in Kandri village on Kanhan Borda Road under Kanhan police station area after midnight on Saturday. The motive behind the murder is not yet clear.
It is learned that Bawankule had gone to an event in Kalamana. When he was returning to his village Banpuri in Parseni taluka along with two accomplices Suraj and Jeetendra on a two-wheeler, he was stopped by two bike-borne assailants.
Sources said the attackers had their faces wrapped with scarves. They first hit a two-wheeler in Bawankule. Bawankule and two of his associates fell down from the vehicle. As soon as they got up, they started running.
Both the attackers chased Bawankule and his associates. They managed to pin Bawankule and attacked him several times with a dagger which resulted in his death. It is learned that the attackers let Bawankule’s associates go.
A case was registered at the Kanhan police station of Nagpur Rural Police. Apart from Kanhan police, the local crime branch is also probing the matter. Two accomplices of Bawankule are being taken into custody and interrogated.
