South-City-1 resident Anita Kaul, who works at a bank, also said she feels more “comfortable” now that the mask mandate is back. She was referring to the Haryana government’s decision this week to make masks mandatory in NCR districts of Gurgaon, Faridabad, Sonipat and Jhajjar. “This is the only thing that works to curb the virus,” said Kaul, who goes to the bank twice a week.
On Tuesday, the department also included in its advisory suggestions for parents not to send children to schools if minors show flu-like symptoms.
“We urged parents to keep their children at home if they have flu symptoms. If a child tests positive, ensure that the child is kept in home isolation for seven days and suspected close contacts should be tested,” the CMO said.
Most of the schools that opened at full capacity for the new academic session this month said they have also recommended parents to monitor the health of children before allowing them to attend physical classes.
