Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Teaser: ‘Evil’ Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch Make Appearance

After attaching the teaser for the Doctor Strange sequel to Spider-Man: No Way Home in the post credits, Marvel Studios has officially released it to the internet. On Wednesday, Marvel confirmed the release date of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch as the eponymous character. The second installment of Doctor Strange’s stand alone film will hit the theaters on 6 May 2022.

The poster and teaser of the upcoming film certainly looks promising with the multiverse and madness in full swing. It looks like the film will pick up where the latest Spider-Man movie left off. The existence of the multiverse was confirmed in the latest Marvel film and teased in the Disney+ series Wanda Vision and Loki. The teaser for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness also stars Scarlet Witch aka Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen.

Doctor Strange’s most recent appearance was in Spider-Man: No Way Home, where he helped Peter Parker, played by Tom Holland, do some mild tinkering with the fabric of reality. The film is expected to take on the revelations surrounding Wanda, as the teaser reveals Doctor Strange is seeking her help in understanding the concept of the multiverse. Viewers of Marvels What If…? The series may remember the darker version of Strange’s appearance in the teaser. Baron Mordo’s quest to cut down on the number of magicians interfering with magic from the post-credits sequence of Doctor Strange was also seen in the teaser.

With all these stories from Marvel’s different characters, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will surely give fans some answers. Expressing his excitement for the upcoming movie, one of the users commented on Twitter, “I love Wizard Supreme and Scarlet Witch.”

The film’s poster depicts Doctor Strange and Wanda in what looks like their alternate personalities in the multiverse. With a darker version of Doctor Strange, audiences also believe that Wanda may have a bad side to her in the multiverse. As one user commented, “Are you telling me there’s going to be an evil Wanda.”
