A domestic help, a businessman and two others have been arrested for allegedly killing an elderly couple in Ghaziabad.
The incident happened on Diwali night and the couple were identified as Ashok Zaidka (72) and his wife Madhu Zaidka (70).
Accused Sundar, his domestic help conspired to kill him and carried out the crime with the help of Amit of his village; Azad, Scrap Dealer; Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Pawan Kumar said Rohit Narula, who owns two multi-storeyed motorcycle showrooms.
Sundar and Amit hail from a village in Karhari district of Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh.
According to the police, Sundar had a complaint about his salary as he was unable to marry off his three daughters due to insufficient funds.
A few months back, Ashok Zaidka had asked Sundar to sign a rental agreement.
Earlier he was living free at their house.
After an argument over the issue, Zaidka fired Sundar, who felt humiliated because his employer used “filthy” language with him.
That’s when he decided to kill Zaidka, police said.
Sundar called Amit from his village to execute the plan.
Azad agreed to participate in the crime because he was interested in a large deposit of junk lying in Zaidka’s shop.
Meanwhile, Sundar came in contact with Narula alias Guddu, who was handling black money generated from Zaidka’s rental properties, police said.
Narula assures them of financial help for their daughters’ weddings and encourages them to go ahead with the plan to eliminate the couple.
The four accused have been arrested under sections 302 (murder), 120B (criminal conspiracy), 201 (missing evidence) and 202 (knowing or believing that an offense is being committed) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). . ,
A hammer and a thin towel were recovered from Sundar.
