DU Admission 2022: Spot round registration begins today at du.ac.in

The vacant seat list for Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) spot round 1 admission has been shared by Delhi University. Interested candidates who have still not secured a seat in DU UG Admission 2022 can register for the spot round through the official website du.ac.in from today, November 21. To do so, they have to use their log-in credentials such as roll number and date of birth. The online application window for spot round will close on November 22 at 4:59 PM.

In order to be considered for the Spot Admission round, a candidate has to select “Spot Admission” from his/her dashboard. The deadline for fee payment is November 27. Delhi University released the vacant seat list for spot round on Sunday at 5:00 PM. ,

The university will declare the spot round seat allotment result on November 23. After the announcement of seat allotment, candidates have to report to their assigned college and secure their seat between November 24 to November 26.

“Upon declaration of First Spot Admission Round, i.e. Sunday, November 20, 2022 at 05:00 PM, admission of all already admitted candidates will be locked and will not be considered for upgrade (except supernumerary upgrade) . Similarly, the admitted candidates will not be allowed to withdraw their admission on the announcement of First Spot Admission Round,” the DU statement reads.

DU’s Dean of Admissions told PTI that while over 2,000 candidates have withdrawn their admission to DU, over 14,000 seats remain vacant. Dean said that these seats will be filled through spot round of seat allotment. “59,401 students have been admitted in Delhi University colleges. More than 14 thousand seats are vacant. More than two thousand students have withdrawn their admission. We have also released a list of vacant seats for the first spot allotment round of CSAS (Common Seat Allocation System).

Meanwhile, the Academic Council of Delhi University has planned to meet on November 22 to discuss various issues. Some of them include, the syllabus for the second semester of UG courses and the proposal to replace the existing PG entrance exam with Common University Entrance Test-PG from next year. Thesis will also be evaluated to decide on increasing the fees of PhD.
