DU: Admission to PG, PhD courses for 2022-23 will be on the basis of DUET. details here

Delhi University has said that admission to postgraduate and PhD programs for the academic session 2022-23 will be based on the DU Entrance Test, also known as DUET. In a notification, DU said that it will soon release more details regarding admission.

“It is notified that admission to the Post Graduate and PhD programs of Delhi University for the academic session 2022-23 will be on the basis of Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) as per the previous exercise. More details regarding admission will be issued soon, DU said in the notification

Notably, DU had decided to conduct undergraduate admissions on the basis of the results of the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET). An 8-member NTA Coordination Committee has also been constituted for this.

This is in contrast to the current practice in which admissions are conducted on the basis of cut-off marks for most undergraduate courses, whereas there were entrance exams for postgraduate courses.

DU colleges to reopen:

Colleges of Delhi University (DU) reopened on Thursday after the university declared a shutdown covid pandemic two years ago. The university has been closed for almost two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, offline educational activities have resumed.

DU colleges were closed in March 2020 in view of the pandemic. The campus is to reopen amid a drop in the number of Covid cases in the national capital. Students’ unions staged protests earlier this month demanding the reopening of the campus.
