E-Ashwa Automotive, Texar Energy to manufacture Li-ion batteries – Times of India

EV manufacturer, e-Horse Automotive, today signed its first joint venture with Texar Energy to produce lithium-ion batteries. The two companies will be manufacturing lithium-ion batteries under the combined brands of E-Ashwa and Texar. Under this partnership, e-Ashwa Automotive will use its own branded lithium battery in a wide range of electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers.
“Batteries are an important part of electric vehicles and there is a greater need for localized manufacturing to meet the needs of the Indian market. By partnering with Texar Energy, e-Horse has entered into battery manufacturing sector that will help it expand its offerings and provide company-owned lithium-ion batteries to our vehicles,” adds Vikas GuptaFounder and CEO, E-Ashwa Automotive.
Last month, e-Ashva Automotive launched 600 . Partnered with Neuron Energy for the sourcing of EV Battery every month and 10,000 EV batteries annually. Also, e-Eshva has recently launched its EV Design and Engineering Center in Ghaziabad.
There are 12 models of electric two-wheelers under the E-Ashwa brand. Under electric three-wheelers, the company manufactures e-rickshaws, e-autos, e-loaders, e-cargos as well as e-schools and e-waste vans.
E-Ashwa has established 26 assembly units in 16 states with a dealership network of over 1000 dealers across the country, an official release said. So far, it has sold over 18,000 EV products under categories ranging from e-scooters, e-motorbikes, e-loaders, e-food carts to e-waste vehicles, a press release said.
