Yamunanagar: District police teams have arrested three persons for preparing fake online sale and purchase documents (transit passes) of raw mining material and minerals and registering them as genuine on e-Raavan. Haryana Government Portal in Yamunanagar District.
The arrested accused have been identified as Desh Deepak and Gurpreet Singh, both Jagadhri and Anuj Kumar, a resident of Rupnagar in Kotdi village of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, police said.
“The three accused were produced in the district court on Saturday, from where Desh Deepak and Anuj Kumar were sent to 7-day police remand, while Gurpreet was sent to judicial custody,” a Yamunanagar police spokesperson said.
He said that on the instructions of SP Mohit Handa, the teams of CIA-II and Pratap Nagar police station have arrested three persons as they have created fake bills for purchase of ‘illegally mined minerals’ from other states on the e-Ravana portal. have been registered. Mining and Geology Department (MGD), Haryana, to show them as actual purchases.
On September 14, Mining Officer (MO) Rajesh Sangwan lodged a complaint against the screening plant in a village in Yamunanagar, following which a case was registered under sections 120-B (criminal conspiracy), 379 (theft) and 420 (cheating) went. 21(5) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Mines and Minerals (Regulation of Development) Act at Pratap Nagar Police Station, Yamunanagar.
The MO in its complaint stated that a screening plant was inspected in a village on September 13, and it was found that the plant was closed eight months ago. However, the owner of this plant was creating online purchase and sale documents of raw mined material and processed minerals respectively against their Mineral Dealer License (MDL) linked to the e-Raavan portal of MGD, Haryana government, the MO said.
“On checking the e-RAVAN portal of the said screening plant, it was revealed that another firm (involved in stone crushing) procured mining material on July 23, 2022 through 171 e-RAVAN bills, while NGT (National Green According to the tribunal), mining operations in the mine (of Yamuna) were closed from July 1 to September 15”, said MO Rajesh.
According to sources, the above facts prove that the accused Screening Plant owners did not make any purchase of raw mining material and sold processed minerals including sand, stone, gravel etc., but for their monetary gain, they sold their fake documents of sale. . and a stone crusher procuring mining material to owners who allegedly conduct illegal mining to obtain cheaper raw mining materials based on relevant fake online documents.
