Earthquake of 3.4 magnitude hit Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar today

An earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale struck Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar region today, the National Center for Seismology said on Monday. An earthquake with a depth of 10 km shook the area at 12.59 pm today.

Meanwhile, a moderate intensity earthquake hit Daspalla town in Odisha’s Nayagarh district on Friday. Officials gave this information. Sources in the Office of the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) said the quake was of magnitude 3.5.

The National Center of Seismology said the 3.5-magnitude quake had its epicenter in Ganjam district at a depth of 10 km and was felt at 11.19 am. There was no report of any casualty or damage to property, a district official said. Last month, a moderate earthquake of magnitude 3.5 struck Odisha’s Kalahandi and Nabarangpur districts.
