Earthquake of magnitude 3.2 jolts Manipur’s Noney

According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), an earthquake of magnitude 3.2 hit Noney district of Manipur in the early hours of Tuesday.

The earthquake occurred at around 2.46 am and its depth was 25 km.

NCS in a tweet said, “Earthquake Magnitude: 3.2 occurred on 28-02-2023, 02:46:39 IST, Latitude: 24.67 & Long: 93.66, Depth: 25 km, Location: Noni, Manipur, India. ” ,

Earlier on February 19, there was an earthquake in Nandigama town of NTR district of Andhra Pradesh. There was no report of loss of life or property.

The tremors occurred at around 7.13 am on Sunday morning and lasted for 3.4 seconds. Residents who came in panic came out of their houses and came on the streets.

On the same day, an earthquake measuring 3.0 on the Richter scale also hit Madhya Pradesh.

According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake occurred at around 1 pm in Dhar, about 151 km south-west of Indore.

The agency said that the epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 km from the Earth’s surface.
