Eight hostel students of a private engineering college in Keelakarai vomited after consuming food brought from a hotel on Monday night. He was admitted to Keelakkarai Government Hospital.

According to hospital sources, the students were treated when they showed symptoms and were discharged on Tuesday afternoon.
On enquiry, it was revealed that the students used to get parotta and gravy from a hotel. The Food Safety Officer took samples of the food items for testing.
