The Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Monday issued a notification declaring Khatauli assembly seat vacant.
Election The commission on Tuesday announced that the by-polls to Khatauli assembly constituency in Uttar Pradesh would be held on December 5 while the counting of votes would take place on December 8.
The seat fell vacant following the disqualification of BJP MLA Vikram Singh Saini.

The notification said the seat would be deemed to be vacant with effect from October 11, the day the Muzaffarnagar MP/MLA court announced Saini’s two-year jail term in the case.
