a team of Election Commission officials led by Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar reached the city on Thursday to take stock of the preparations for the assembly elections in the state.

After reaching the state capital, the team held a meeting with Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Manoj Kumar Meena and other officials at Vikas Soudha today.

It will interact with the representatives of various political parties to get their suggestions, opinions and complaints.

The team will also participate in an international conference on ‘Inclusive Elections and Electoral Integrity’ here, which will be attended by Election Commissioners from various democratic countries.

The Election Commission will hold a meeting with the Deputy Commissioners of all the districts on March 10 regarding the preparations being made for the upcoming elections.

Later the Election Commission will inaugurate an exhibition on elections before flagging off the LED vehicles for voter awareness.

Before returning to Delhi, the Election Commissioner will hold a press conference on March 11.
