Elon Musk calls late 2023 a “good time” for new Twitter chief

He said he would “just run the software and server teams”.

Dubai:

Twitter Chief Executive Elon Musk said on Wednesday that late 2023 would be a “good time” to find someone else to run Twitter, when he expects the social media platform to stabilize.

“I think I need to stabilize the organization and make sure it’s in a healthy place financially and that the product roadmap is clearly laid out,” Musk said. Who is the new Twitter CEO and when will that person be hired?

“I don’t know, I’m guessing maybe the end of this year would be a good time to find someone else to run the company, because I think it should be in a stable position, you know, at the end of this year,” he said.

On December 21, Musk said on Twitter that he would resign as CEO “as soon as I find a fool to take the job!”

He said he would “just run the software and server teams”.

Musk ran a poll on the social media platform a few days ago on whether he should step down as CEO of Twitter, in which a majority of respondents said he should.
