ELON musk denied that he had an affair with Sergey BrinThe Wall Street Journal reported that the contact prompted the Google co-founder to sell his investments in Musk’s companies.
Tesla Inc. co-founder Musk had an alleged contact in Miami in early December brinwife of Nicole Shanahan, the Journal said, citing unidentified people familiar with the matter. It ended a long friendship between Musk, 51, and Brin, who helped support the electric car maker during the 2008 financial crisis. Brin, 48, filed for divorce from Shanahan in January.
Musk said in a post on Twitter, where he has more than 100 million followers, the journal’s story was untrue. Musk said he has seen Brin’s wife twice in three years, both times in the presence of other people, and that there was “nothing romantic” between the pair. Musk also said that he is still friends with Brin.

According to the Journal, Brin had in recent months instructed his advisors to sell his personal investments in Musk’s companies after he had a brief relationship with his wife.

The size of Brin’s personal investments in Musk’s companies is not known, and it is unclear whether any sales have taken place, the newspaper said.

The alleged case is the latest in a string of revelations about Musk’s personal life. reports Earlier this year he said he had fathered twins to a senior executive at his artificial intelligence startup Neuralink.
Another of his company, SpaceX, paid an employee $250,000 to settle a sexual harassment claim by Musk in 2016, according to the insider. Musk said the allegations were “completely untrue” and designed to interfere with the acquisition of Twitter Inc., a settlement he is now trying to pull out of.
Brin and Shanahan are currently negotiating a settlement, the Journal said, with Shanahan seeking more than $1 billion, albeit a prenuptial agreement.
