Elon Musk explains why people shouldn’t be afraid of turbulence, says wings can handle ‘insane amounts of bending’

Are you afraid of turbulence while traveling by air? Not so much after reading this. Tesla Chief Elon Musk has explained why one should not be afraid during a turbulent flight. He believes that no one should be afraid of turbulence as the plane is not going to crash. He shed light on how the wings of an airplane can withstand extremely powerful forces. This came after a Twitter user shared a video of airplane wings during turbulence. “Airplane wings are not some rigid piece of metal: in fact, they probably have a little more flex than you’d expect. This is the behavior of a Boeing 747’s wing in a turbulence,” he wrote in the caption.

Apart from this, Musk responded by saying, ‘People should never be afraid of unrest. Commercial airliners can handle insane amounts of wing bending.” Here’s the video:

Musk’s comment went viral and garnered 86K likes. “Everyone should watch the take-off of the B-52. Those wingspans can go up and down more than 3 feet. Impressive! Take-off of the 1950s!” A Twitter user commented. Another user wrote, “@elonmusk is right here. In general, aircraft structure and wings can handle a lot more turbulence and forces than the human body, so moving those wings is not a problem,” wrote another User wrote.

This comes just days after Musk got into the fragrance business. He’s come up with a perfume called “Burn Hair” and he’s selling it on The Boring Company. That perfume is selling for $100-100. Taxes and an additional charge of shipping are also charged.

Musk even joked about how selling these perfumes would help him, but Twitter. Within hours of this tweet, he sold 20,000 bottles of perfume. As always, netizens had a lot to say about this new launch as well. Some curated memes and some were engaged in giving their opinion. “Elon, you can shoot some burnt hair perfume with the tip of the rocket during flight. The aliens will never forget that first encounter with the incident!” wrote a Twitter user. Another user wrote, ‘So you sell perfumes now? Elon, I think you need to focus on one business at a time. What do rockets, perfumes and cars have in common?”
