Tesla is the world’s most valuable automaker

Elon Musk has revealed that Tesla’s FSD beta 10.2 version will be released tonight for around 1000 users. This is part of a wider release plan that was originally scheduled 6 months ago. Tesla previously said it would be as easy as pushing the download button, then changed the terms and said drivers with the best safety ratings would be added to the beta ring.

“FSD Beta 10.2 rolls out Friday midnight for 1000 owners with a full 100/100 security score. The rollout will then run for several days to see how it goes. If it looks good, then the beta Will gradually start rolling out to scores of 99 and below,” Musk said.

Tesla is refining the software and suddenly doesn’t want too many users to use a Level 2 self-driving system because it could turn into a safety failure.

“Of course, there are further refinements coming to the (early beta) safety test score. This will be continually refined until it is a very good predictor of accident probability. Exciting actuarial problem!, Musk said.

Tesla has developed its own Dojo supercomputer that is expected to be the fastest computer of its kind in the world to train self-driving neural networks. It also has its own D1 chip for this. It also has an FSD chip on the car that algorithmically processes real-time camera data from cars to enable autonomous capability. However, Tesla has a sketchy record.
