Elon Musk’s cryptic tweet could be a warning to bots

Elon Musk has once again posted a cryptic tweet on his official Twitter handle and this could be a warning to bots. There is no text in the tweet but there are two emojis which speak volumes. It also had a ‘Soon’ status update. In the tweet, Musk used a grave sign with a robot sign, which could clearly indicate RIP bots. It comes as Musk has introduced $8 for blue ticks as a means of eliminating trolls and bots on the platform. The controversial move, coupled with growing concerns about security and misinformation, brought a storm of criticism against Musk. According to him, this could help Twitter not rely solely on advertisers to pay its bills.

One Twitter user commented, “I’ve been added to at least 10 group messages this week with bots sending me fake job opportunities.” Another person wrote, “Unfortunately, since my account replicates the bot’s work, this may involve the tweet finder account. If so, it’s an honor to serve you all.”

Meanwhile, earlier, Musk posted a meme, standing by his decision and taking a dig at American politician Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The AOC previously tweeted, “LMAO posing as a billionaire trying to sell people on the idea that ‘free speech’ is actually a USD 8/mo subscription scheme.” Musk had replied: “Your feedback is appreciated; Pay $8 now.”
When former Democratic Party candidate and author Heidi Briones asked him if he would pay the $8 fee himself, he replied “100%”. The meme includes a T-shirt that reads, “Your feedback is appreciated. Pay $8 now.”
