The 33-year-old actress, who is the niece of Hollywood legend Julia Roberts and is known for her role in American Horror Story, has officially announced her engagement. She is all set to exchange vows with her boyfriend, actor Cody John. Emma and Cody had made their relationship official in August 2023 on Instagram. About a year later, the duo have now taken to social media once again to share the news of their engagement.

As soon as the duo shared the news on social media, their celebrity friends were quick to join in the celebration. Her Scream Queens co-star Lea Michele said she is “Already planning the bachelorette!!!! So happy for you babe,” in the comments section. Lindsay Lohan from Mean Girls shared her warm wishes saying, “Congrats!” while Singer Aly Michalka humourously wrote “Hahahaha oh man do I relate to this. Congrats Em!!!”
Emma’s caption refers to the time when her mother, Kelly Cunningham, had reportedly shared a snap of her toddler son on social media earlier this year without Emma’s permission. Emma has a 3-year-old son with her ex Garrett Hedlund. The two had reportedly split up in January 2022, according to the US Weekly.
Roberts and her fiance have been together for a while now. After going Instagram-official in 2023, the duo have frequently been sharing photos together, though Roberts otherwise prefers to keep her life private. “I never want to talk about relationships I’m in or that are ending or have ended. It’s hard enough to be with someone by yourself, let alone with an audience,” she told Cosmopolitan in a 2019 interview.
