End of Hardik Patel’s Congress tenure? Gujarat Abaj removes party’s name from Twitter bio as Patidar leader

Patidar leader Hardik Patel has removed the name of the party from his Twitter bio. This development comes at a time when there is talk of clash between the factions and the leaders of Gujarat take full responsibility of ensuring their stay with the party at the high command in Delhi.

The development comes amid Patel’s relentless slamming the Congress. Earlier, the working president of Gujarat Congress said that he felt that “a groom was forced to undergo sterilization”. Soon after, he delivered another worrying message to the Grand Old Party – months ahead of the Gujarat Assembly elections – as he praised the BJP and said “some things are good about the BJP and we must accept it”. .

He did another googling when he removed mentions of Congress from his WhatsApp and Telegram bio. In a move seen as a cohabitation with the BJP, Patel himself and the Congress, as believers of Lord Ram, promised to distribute copies of the Bhagavad Gita, and also said that he should “be a Hindu”. Proud”.

Patel, who led the Patidar reservation movement, joined the Congress in March 2019. But soon differences arose between the leader and the Gujarat Congress. Though he is the working president of the state unit, Patel claimed he was sidelined and the leadership was unwilling to use his skills. He accused the local leaders of harassing him and said that they want him to leave the organisation.

In an interview, he said, “My displeasure is against the state leadership, not against the central leadership… If I am the working president of the Congress, the state leadership should give me some responsibility.”

“I am in Congress at the moment. I am hopeful that the central leaders will find some way so that I can continue in Congress. The party did not even help me with a lawyer to fight the cases,” Patel filed 32 against him. Pointing to the cases, he said.

On Rahul Gandhi’s alleged statement that those who want to leave Congress can do so, Patel said: “Rahul Gandhi says those who want to leave Congress can leave. But the state leadership cannot talk like this. You must have heard Jagdish Thakor and Dr. Raghu Sharma talking in Rahul’s language. What if everyone leaves the party?” He asked.

However, the Patidar leader maintains that he is still with the Congress and has rubbished speculations of him joining the BJP.
