When you think of a family-friendly restaurant that is value for money, what is the first name that comes to mind? For us, it should be barbecue nation, The restaurant has become synonymous with excellent quality food that you can indulge in endlessly. This time around, we visited their brand new outlet in Phoenix Market City, Bangalore, which opened recently. The Whitefield Outlet is characterized by spacious modern interiors and lots of bright light. Here were the highlights of our trip and what we enjoyed eating the most.
We started our meal with starters – which had plenty of options for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Tandoori vegetarian dishes like Paneer Tikka, Grilled Mushrooms, Cheesy Broccoli and Churrasco Pineapple were some of the dishes that we thoroughly enjoyed. The dahi kebabs and crispy corn were also crunchy, delicious and totally edible.

In the non-vegetarian section, the Kalmi Murgh Tikka, Coastal Barbecue Fish, Tandoori Tangri and Peri Peri Chicken Wings come highly recommended. Barbecue Nation had plenty of live counters with a range of options such as pasta, pani puri, dahi puri and keema pav.

If you still have room after eating all these bottomless appetizers, you can go ahead and try the buffet main course. Soups, salads, vegetarian and non-vegetarian mains, accompaniments and breads were some of the dishes offered. The menu at Barbecue Nation also includes rice, biryani and noodles. When it comes to desserts, you will once again be spoiled for choice between gulab jamun, halwa, shahi tukda, kulfi, ice cream, fresh fruits and a range of pastries.
