England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) set to name the England team the coming ashes on Sunday. According to Sky Sports, the team is likely to have 17 or 18 members. A separate team will also be formed to provide injury cover to England for the Ashes. The ECB said, “To facilitate further progress and to allow the selection of a team, the ECB Board met today and gave its approval to go ahead with the tour. subject to completion.” Official statement on Friday.
“We look forward to continued assistance from Cricket Australia in resolving these matters in the coming days,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, Stokes has undergone a second operation to resolve the issues he was having with his finger in the Indian Premier League (IPL) while playing for Rajasthan Royals in April.
Two screws and scar tissue were removed with the index finger of Stokes’ left hand.
