Component

  1. 2 cups flour
  2. 2 teaspoons castor sugar
  3. 1 tsp salt
  4. 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  5. 1/2 cup water
  6. 1/2 cup tomato puree
  7. refined flour
  8. Olive Oil
  9. 3-4 dried tomatoes
  10. 1 tbsp pine nuts
  11. Basil
  12. Water

Method

  1. Take 2 cups all purpose flour in a bowl.
  2. Add castor sugar, salt and dry active yeast to a bowl. Mix it.
  3. Add water and tomato puree to the bowl. Knead the mixture.
  4. Spread flour on tabletop. Knead the dough till it becomes soft.
  5. Add 2.5 tbsp of olive oil to the dough.
  6. Keep stirring it continuously for 2-3 minutes. Roll it out.
  7. Make a dough by sprinkling flour on top.
  8. Take a baking tray. Sprinkle olive oil on it.
  9. Sprinkle flour in the tray.
  10. Spread the rolled out dough on the tray.
  11. Punch to make small pits in the dough.
  12. Sprinkle dried tomatoes.
  13. Add pine nuts and basil leaves.
  14. Drizzle with olive oil and water. Leave it to prove for 20 -25 minutes.
  15. Bake the dough at 180 degree Celsius for 20-25 minutes.
  16. Take out the baked bread. Sprinkle olive oil.
  17. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
  18. Slice the bread into slices to enjoy a soft khamiri dish.
