Leader of the Opposition Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Tuesday criticized the DMK government for its alleged move to shift the proposed integrated bus terminus in Vellore, Coimbatore to a site near the Avinashi-Tiruchi bypass.
In a statement, he said the original site was chosen considering its proximity to the junction of NH-47 and SH-162 and Podanur railway junction. Work was in progress in about 60 acres after issue of bids worth ` 168 crore. He said that if the bus project site is shifted then all this will be in vain.
