Erode district reported 116 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday.
According to the health bulletin, all the cases were indigenous and there were 1,197 active cases in the district.
62 new cases and two deaths were reported in Salem district. While Namakkal reported 52 new cases, Krishnagiri and Dhampuri reported 35 and 28 cases respectively.
On Wednesday, 181 new cases were reported in Coimbatore district. The Health Department said that there are 2,036 active cases in the district. Tiruppur district reported 89 fresh cases, taking the total to 92,941.
