ESPL extends tie-up with brand ambassador Tiger Shroff for season 2

New Delhi: The eSports Premier League (ESPL) will continue its association with actor Tiger Shroff as the face of the league for the second year in a row.

“Tiger Shroff was instrumental in making it a household name in its first season. His popularity and fan following among youth and millennial audiences has helped us connect and influence gamers across the country. His star power also helped bring esports into the mainstream. I am sure that their strong connection with the audience will go a long way in achieving our objective of revolutionizing the Indian esports ecosystem,” said League Director Vishwalok Nath.

The addition of Shroff is expected to strengthen the position of the league. Last season, his videos of athletes cheering have garnered nearly a million views on social media platform YouTube, Nath said.

The actor said, “Exports across the country have witnessed explosive growth. It is a great platform for athletes to showcase their talent on a national platform. This venture to grow the esports industry while encouraging esports players and the gaming community. I am happy to be a part of.

The league has roped in Chinese-owned smartphone maker, Tecno Mobile as a sponsor and streaming platform Loco as its digital broadcast partner for this season. The second edition of ESPL began on June 15.

According to a report by EY, the export industry is expected to grow at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 46%. 11 billion by 2025
