Kalyan: To make Marathi language more efficient and to preserve the language, Kalyan Lok Sabha MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde has demanded from the central government to establish Marathi University on the lines of Hindi University and Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya.
Dr. Shinde had raised the issue in the Lok Sabha in this regard.
Dr. Shinde, through a private bill in the Lok Sabha, demanded the Central Government to establish Marathi University on the lines of Hindi University, Sanskrit University, which according to him would be helpful for the preservation of Marathi language.
He said that there should be a separate system for the protection and development of Marathi language and literature. Along with this, there is a need to focus on teaching and research in Marathi language and for this Marathi University will play an important role.
