Exclusive: Comedian Bharti Singh reveals how she lost 16 kg in 10 months

Bharti Singh revealed that she has always been overweight since childhood. In fact, she said it was her first experience with weight loss, and thanks to intermittent dieting, she was largely successful. But her motivation was never to lose weight, but simply to become healthy.

“It was never my intention to lose weight or be skinny. I started this diet just to get fit. I was borderline diabetic, and during the second wave of COVID I realized I was not able to do my own thing Cause I’ll run out of breath,” she shared in a candid conversation NDTV Food. This is when Bharti’s husband, producer Harsh Limbachiyaa suggested that she go for intermittent fasting. Thus, Bharti avoids eating anything after 7 pm and eats only after 12 noon the next day. So, was there any specific food that Bharati adopted? NS comedian says that he ate his normal diet but within the stipulated time of 8 hours. “I did not follow any diet, I just fasted for 15-16 hours and ate home cooked food like parathas, tea, eggs, sabzi, kadhi-rice etc. I belong to a Punjabi family and parathas are our pride. I never Eat nothing. Fancy foods, and never eat anything after 7 pm. In fact, my body has stopped accepting food at the wrong time.”
