Exclusive: Maruti Suzuki plans blockbuster in April with Ertiga, XL6 facelift launch – Times of India

it’s been really busy maruti suzuki The office is lined up with new and model updates and it’s only been three months in a year. The company is now gearing up for a blockbuster April with the launch of its two MPVs. Ertiga facelift and XL6 facelift.
Barring minor upgrades like the fog lamp grille and black surround, the facelifted version of the Ertiga won’t see much difference on the design and styling front. It may get a new design for the alloy. A similar upgrade is expected on the XL6 facelift but it could sport the Baleno-like NexaWave grille. There could be some new color options on the card.
Both the cars may get an upgrade to the touchscreen infotainment system. Maruti will likely update both the cars with the Smartplay Pro variant that was first introduced on the 2022 Baleno. Also, expect new upholstery, wireless charging options and other upgrades.
In terms of powertrain, the Ertiga facelift is expected to retain the 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine that makes 105 hp and 138 Nm of torque and be paired with a five-speed manual as standard or an optional four-speed automatic goes.
The XL6 will be powered by the same engine and transmission options could include a five-speed manual and a six-speed torque converter (which could also be available with the Ertiga).
Both the Ertiga and XL6 take on the recently launched Kia Carens, which gets more equipment and powerful engine options. Time will tell how Maruti retains its MPV customers. For now, we are waiting for both to launch in April. Watch this space for more details.
