“Excuse makers”: Bureaucrat impressed by subway workers’ dedication to education

Only through education a person can achieve success in this world. However, not everyone is lucky or privileged enough to attend a good school or college. Sometimes they even have to stop going to school to work. Despite all the struggles, there are still people who are willing to overcome all challenges and work hard to become literate. One such inspiring story has been shared by Indian Police Service officer Dipanshu Kabra.

Sharing the post, he wrote, “Fire can happen anywhere, but fire must burn… Meet Kareena @AmbujaMall, Raipur based @SubwayIndia. She studies in the little time she gets between the visits of customers. Those who make excuses of “not getting time”, they should learn that even a minute can be used like this.

In his post, Mr. Kabra shared two photographs clicked at a Subway outlet in Raipur’s Ambuja Mall. The pictures show an employee, identified as Kareena, who is seen reading a textbook. The bureaucrat shared how Ms Kareena finds time during her shifts to study as well as catering to her clients.

The post left netizens emotional and many lauded the girl for finding a way to complete her studies. Many also said that the pictures inspire them.

One user wrote, “It’s true that if you’ve got a will, you’ve got a way! An elderly gentleman told me long ago that on his daily bus ride to and from work, he read many books!

Another commented, “How inspiring…Best wishes to Kareena…Kid you will make it big in life.” Now no excuse will do.” The fourth added, “Right, amidst thousands of excuses for not doing this, such a picture inspires.”
