Exit Polls 2023: BJP+ on the way to victory in Tripura, Nagaland; Hung House in Meghalaya

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to win Tripura and form government in Nagaland with its ally NDPP, while Meghalaya is headed for a hung assembly, exit polls released on various channels showed on Monday.

Tripura went to polls on February 16, while Meghalaya and Nagaland voted on February 27. The results will be declared on 2 March.

Tripura

According to Axis My India, BJP alliance can win 36-45 seats out of 60, Communist Party of India India (Marxist) Alliance 6-11 and Tipra Motha Party (TMP) 9-16.

Meanwhile, Matrise predicts 29-36 seats for BJP+, 13-21 for CPM+, 11-16 for TMP and three for others. Jan Ki Baat has predicted 29-40 seats for BJP+, 9-16 for CPM+, 10-14 for TMP and one seat for others. ETG has predicted 24 seats for BJP+, 21 for CPM+, 14 for TMP and one for Others.

According to the Axis My India exit poll results, the NPP led by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma will win 18-24 seats, followed by the Congress with 6-12 seats and the BJP with 4-8 seats.

Matriz also predicted the NPP to fall short of the majority mark, securing 21-26 seats, while the TMC would take 8-13 seats, the BJP 6-11, the Congress 3-6 and others 10-19. Will meet seats.

According to India Today-My Axis, NDPP is expected to get 28-34 seats in Nagaland with 33 per cent vote share. The poll also gives the BJP a surprising 16 per cent vote share and 10-14 seats, most likely coming from eastern Nagaland, where it focused its campaign.

The Congress is projected to get 10% vote share and between 1-2 seats and the tail end of the Naga People’s Front, which remained after 21 MLAs defected to the NDPP, is projected to get 13% vote share and between 3-8 seats. Is.
